Great question. I did run into some smoky casinos and, unfortunately, you do have to walk through the casinos in order to get to the attractions (so they can entice you to gamble on your way, of course). The newer and nicer casinos have excellent ventilation systems and you hardly notice it (if you notice it at all). The older casinos are definitely smoky. Circus Circus and Imperial Palace were pretty bad. There is no smoking at any of the attractions, so I just put Jack in his stroller and rushed through the casinos. Thanks Whitney! Great question. There is definitely plenty of family friendly, affordable attractions. Since my husband had never been to Vegas before that trip, it took some convincing on my part that "sin city" could be an appropriate place to take tots.
