About
Traveling with my baby and writing about it is what I was meant to do. I have always traveled here and there when I had the time and money. I did a six-month stint in London after graduating from college with a BA in English/Writing and a minor in Journalism. I even managed to get married on a pirate ship in Las Vegas after getting engaged on a cruise ship in Mexico. But nothing I did could have possibly prepared me for the adventures of motherhood.
Anyone who has kids understands that a trip to the grocery store is a momentous occasion; let alone taking a vacation! Ah, the meltdowns, sleepless nights and suitcases packed to the brim with toys, diapers, books, sippy cups, et cetera. On Jack’s first vacation (a road trip to the Oregon coast), we brought his crib mattress. Seriously. And I’m still glad we did.
With Jack not in school yet and me without a full-time job, we have the perfect opportunity to travel the world together. It seemed only natural to start WanderTot to join my passions of writing, traveling and being a mother.
Read WanderTot for hilarious tell-all accounts of the disasters that will inevitably happen along the way, along with reviews of the gear we try out and attractions we visit. We’ll be traveling on a budget, so most of my posts will be about cheap family vacations. We are based in Denver, Colorado, so I will also blog about fun things to do around here.
I hope you come back often to share in our adventures.
